Vera Ephraim is an Actor, Director, Choreographer and an award winning Dancer. She was born in Nigeria, now based in South Africa. “I find my inspiration in my own experiences, sufferings and struggles; I share with other women. I still stand self-motivated, energetic and positive in all of this.”
Vera featured in a movie and a TV documentary for channel 4 in London, where she studied Performing Arts. She has starred, co-starred and guest starred in theatre, films, television, music videos, Radio drama/voice overs, appeared in over 20 TV commercials, and also worked as a TV Presenter. Vera has featured in top South African TV dramas, Generations, Intersextions, Jacobs Cross, 7de Laan, Room 9, and featured in the award winning South African movie “Sink” as Tapiwa. She continues to travel internationally for film, Television and dance/theatre engagements. Her most recent travels include her birth country, Nigeria, where she worked with Ebony life TV, featuring on their series “Castle & Castle” as Ayanda. She also played the role of Ayo in “Lifestyles” also a Nigerian soap opera.
Vera made her debut as a young Director in the U.K, where she studied Performing Arts. More recently, she made a short film, Omena, as a finger exercise for a feature film she’s planning to make in the future.
Vera has worked with Lavelle Smith Jr. (Michael Jackson and Beyoncé’s choreographer) and performed with the likes of Orlando Julius, Hugh Masakela and Femi Kuti. She is also a movement adviser and CEO, founder/artistic director of Vera’s Danse Hauz.
